After 10 years of photographing weddings I would be hard pressed to think of another day that was so full of overwhelming emotions and truly sweet moments as Alyssa and Andy’s celebration. It was small, intimate and oh so special. Andy is sadly a widower and has three absolutely beautiful and precious daughters: Reese, Blake and Jordyn. Seeing his girls welcome Alyssa into their family was awe-inspiring.

The guest count may be downsized, but the sentiment and emotions are full scale!

I’ve coined them my celebrity couple because I swear, they are perfect look-a-likes to Bradley Cooper and a blonde Emilia Clarke (as Daenerys from GOT) and I can’t wait to hear if you agree! I can’t be too far off because they both admitted that they’ve heard it before from total strangers! haha Anyways, not only are they a gorgeous couple, but they are also such genuinely kind and sweet people.

Old Slate Farm is one of my all time favorite wedding florists and it has been a dream of mine to collaborate with them for a long time. They offer full service floral designs for weddings using flowers grown mostly on their property, with flowers from other local farms and sustainable sources as well. I not only love what Old Slate Farm represents with their focus on sustainability and knowledge of all things botany, but also am always floored by Katie’s garden-style, romantic designs!

When they first reached out to me about photographing their Columbus wedding we instantly clicked and I was so excited for their big day! Sadly, COVID-19 has significantly impacted their plans of getting married due to the closure of their venue. They were absolutely devastated when they received the email explaining that they could no longer get married at Juniper and my heart broke for them. Up until that moment everything had seemed to be very serendipitous with their planning— everything had fallen into place perfectly to make their dream wedding plans come true. They were stopped in their tracks without a lot of information to move forward with.

As far as small wedding venues in Columbus go, Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph is pretty darn perfect! The Joseph made every effort possible to ensure Becky and Bob had a wonderful wedding day that was safe, beautiful, and executed flawlessly.

I’m not sure what it is about these flowers in particular, but they stir up such fun and joyful memories for me. I was thrilled to have the chance to let my girls experience the magic too during our recent adventure to the country.

These family photo sessions are so precious because I know how fleeting these moments are with a fresh new baby. My goal is to freeze these memories in time and provide a gift that will allow you to relive these moments for years to come.

Waking up with the sun, serving donuts during cocktail hour, enjoying an awesome omelet and waffle station for your reception and toasting with mimosas is all a win in my book! Audrey started her day getting ready at the Hancock Hotel with her bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done. With her friends surrounding her Audrey slipped into her modern dress and had her mom tie a perfect bow in the back. She had the sweetest first look with her dad and incorporated a sign that read, “I loved her first.”
