Sweet Wedding Celebrations at the Ohio Statehouse

Want to see the wedding of one of the sweetest couples? Hannah and Adam never stopped smiling during their wedding day at the Ohio Statehouse in downtown Columbus.

I love how Adam proposed to Hannah in front of the UD chapel in Dayton, Ohio where the two met. When they contacted me about their wedding day, the vision was everything. The ceremony would take place at a beautiful cathedral downtown which reminded them of the chapel where Hannah said “I do”. From there they wanted the celebrations to continue at the Statehouse where the stunning architecture would get to speak for itself.

To start the day though, Hannah got into her Monique Lhuillier gown from La Jeune Marie. Its sweetheart neckline and delicate lace was to pair perfectly with Adam’s fresh look in a black tux. That was something the bride was so excited for; to see her groom as she walked down the aisle.

Wondering how Adam reacted? He held back tears and held a straight face as the processional happened but the moment the doors opened revealing Hannah, the two smiled the biggest anyone has ever seen. Family and friends surrounded them during that joyful moment and after the first kiss as husband and wife, they were off to the Ohio Statehouse to await the fun!

Dreamy is the first word that comes to mind when I think of their reception. Prema Designs hung greenery and sheer drapery from the overlooks in the atrium that added so much interest and elegance to the space. It created a clean backdrop that made the head table really stand out. Tables were adorned in cream and gold with slim votives providing intimate lighting and pops of pink blooms adding dimension. Hannah’s face says it all in the reveal. All of their planning came to life and truly took her breath away.

The night was one to remember, especially with Josh Staley Productions as the entertainment. All their friends from their Columbus and Dayton days were reunited and never left the dance floor. They also had one other entertainer whose artistic capabilities are way beyond mine… you’ll have to scroll to find out.

This day and the couple being celebrated was good for the soul and still holds a special place in my heart!
