I’m literally jumping up and down with excitement over here because we got published!! Ruffled featured our gorgeous saffron and slate styled shoot at Magnolia Hill Farm and I couldn’t be more honored! We had the most AMAZING team of vendors who helped make our vision come to life and for that I am forever grateful. Do not miss the dream team lineup below!

This was my very first time hosting a styled shoot and I think I’m hooked! It was so much fun flexing my creative muscles and shooting simply for the purpose of creating. I couldn’t think of a better team to host with than Berlyn Events & Design and Pasternack + Co. Seriously, I can’t even imagine not having these two on my side to dream, organize, design and execute the entire shoot from start to finish.

I was absolutely blown away by all of the wonderful vendors who collaborated with us to make this such a success. Everyone took our initial vision and then brought their own unique creativity to the table to make it even better than we could have imagined. Bear Roots Floral created the most incredible floral installations and The Paper Vow designed a masterpiece with her stunning mixed media invitation suite.

I don’t think I can ever thank this team of vendors enough— from the Henrys at Magnolia Hill Farm who graciously opened their doors to us, the stunning and unbelievably sweet models Maddie and Marcus for being truly amazing to work with, La Jeune Mariee for having the best stylists help create the perfect bridal look, to Pursuite Yourself for making Marcus look so good, and La Reve for the flawless hair and makeup!

Also, we can’t forget about my Mom from Sweetie Girls Treatery who created a showstopper of a cake in black bas relief! I can also vouch that every single person who enjoyed a slice post photoshoot couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was!

I know it may sound like I’m gushing and that’s because I am! I feel beyond honored and lucky to be part of such a wonderful lineup of talent. The Columbus wedding industry is truly so special and I love that community is at the heart of it all.

Berlyn wrote this description of our styled shoot that perfectly articulates our motivation and inspiration, so I had to share!

Just outside the vibrant capital city, Magnolia Hill Farm provides an oasis of charm. Inspired by the “Gen Z Yellow” trend, our couple are busy professionals who desire a wedding that speaks to their style – blending modern cosmopolitan taste with the hospitality and heritage of the Midwest farmstead.

This celebration is a smorgasbord of texture featuring a mixed media invitation suite, black bas relief cake, metallic gold and sleek acrylic accents, amidst yards of ochre velvet. Echoing the landscape, a blend of traditional and dried foraged florals are collectively designed in a ceremony installation that’s modern with a touch of wild.

Black taper candles pop against an al fresco tablescape, showcasing clean and airy florals, and dripping in hues of saffron and caramel. Steel Windsor chairs deliver bold, unconventional, contrast into the otherwise soft and feminine design.

Effortless sophistication emanates from every element of this contemporary wedding inspiration, transforming any notion you’ve ever had of the traditional “barn” wedding.
