Jeni’s Strawberry Jam - A Recap of Columbus Family Fun
It’s no secret that I am a HUGE Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams addict—in fact if that’s all I had to eat for the rest of my life, I’m certain I would be perfectly happy. Throw in fresh strawberries from Hirsch Fruit Farm, and I knew I couldn’t miss Jeni’s Strawberry Jam this afternoon at Land-Grant Brewing Company!
This was such an amazing collaboration with some of my favorites from the Columbus food scene, including Fox in the Snow, Little Eater, Hot Chicken Take Over and Ray Ray’s Hog Pit.
We decided on the chilled “picnic-style” Hot Chicken (so good!) with, of course, all the ice cream we could handle. Jeni’s Strawberry Buttermilk, Vanilla, and Frosé Sorbet trio was a crowd favorite for us, and we of course couldn’t leave without picking up a few pints to go!
My tip—If you’re planning a trip to next year’s Jeni’s Strawberry Jam event, don’t leave your kids at home! Reagan and Jocelyn, my three-year-old twins, took full advantage of the Kids’ Zone, playing strawberry toss and bubbles. With face painting, balloon animals, and giant chalk boards there was no shortage of entertainment.
A big thank you to Jeni’s and Land-Grant for a great day!
