Intimate Granville Inn Wedding in Granville, Oh

Erin + Jonathan

Erin and Jonathan were committed to making their wedding day as intimate and meaningful as possible with their 30 guests— truly focusing on quality time with their loved ones who traveled from all over the world to attend. The bride’s father is Norwegian and there were several family members who made the trip overseas as well as guests who came from Georgia, Hawaii and beyond.

The couple decided to buck tradition in many ways and didn’t have a wedding party or dance floor. They had several odes to Norway throughout the day including special desserts, the country’s flag incorporated in the decor, and even a singalong during the reception.

My favorite part of the day was their first look. Erin and Jonathan both admittedly do not like to be the center of attention. They wanted to write their own vows, but didn’t feel comfortable reading them in front of their guests. So, they chose to read their personal vows to each other during the first look and it was truly the sweetest moment of the day. Erin was crying as she promised to love Jonathan and forever be his partner in life.

Following their ceremony was a relaxed cocktail hour in the charming courtyard where delicious appetizers were served, a four string quartet played, children blew bubbles, guests played giant jenga, and lots of meaningful family photos were taken.

I can honestly say that I’ve never been to a wedding where so many happy tears were shed by the bride. The first thing she said when I entered her room that morning was, “Everything’s wonderful— I just couldn’t be happier!” She was beaming the entire day and that happiness was contagious.

Their wedding day was so thoughtfully designed, from the gorgeous garden flowers by Blooms by Amanda, the invitation suit designed by Avant-Garde Impressions, and Erin's stunning gown from La Jeune Mariee Bridal Boutique. The Granville Inn is such a darling little venue that has it’s own unique charm. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for the list of all the incredible vendors that worked to make this day such a success!

Congratulations again Erin and Jonathan! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your intimate wedding day!
