Ohio was showing off for Sara and Ryan’s wedding day! It was one of those perfect days, as the seasons transition between summer and fall; where the sun is warm, but there is a refreshing crispness in the air as the leaves are just starting to turn. You couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque afternoon for an outdoor ceremony on the edge of the gorgeous Inverness Club golf course with its rolling hills and colorful trees in the distance.

We've all been using new words and phrases in 2020 that previously weren’t in our day to day communication such as social distancing and quarantine, but I’ve recently learned a new one that I absolutely love and can totally get excited about and that is “minimony!” You may be wondering what a minimony is and it’s exactly what it sounds like— a mini ceremony with 10 people or fewer. The guest count may be downsized, but the sentiment and emotions are full scale!

Brunch weddings are where it’s at! Waking up with the sun, serving donuts during cocktail hour, enjoying an awesome omelet and waffle station for your reception and toasting with mimosas is all a win in my book! Audrey started her day getting ready at the Hancock Hotel with her bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done. With her friends surrounding her Audrey slipped into her modern dress and had her mom tie a perfect bow in the back. She had the sweetest first look with her dad and incorporated a sign that read, “I loved her first.”

I am beyond excited to share Christian and Cliffton’s wedding with you! As it was my first time photographing a same sex couple, my excitement level was on an entirely new level than usual, which is saying a lot! The whole day was a complete dream and was one I wish I could live over and over again. There was so much thoughtfulness put into their small and intimate wedding celebration that perfectly reflected them as a couple.
