Lauren and Chris' Wedding at The Ellis in Italian Village

COLUMBUS, OHIO

As the cold months set in, I am pushing myself to get caught up on blogging all of the beautiful days I captured this year. One being Lauren and Chris’ stunning wedding at The Ellis in Columbus, Ohio’s Italian Village.

This wedding was full of sweet moments from start to finish. As Lauren stepped into her gown by Made with Love from Harper + Ivory, the whole room stood still. When the bridesmaids got to see her for the first time in her dimensional, sheath gown, the silence ended and laughter and tears filled the air. As much as I loved this moment, it didn’t compare to when Chris laid his eyes on his bride during their first look. We heard his breath become taken away; that subtle gasp that is accompanied by raw, uncontrollable emotion. Tack on the private exchange of their vows and you’re in a moment that almost can’t be beat.

What did beat it though was their final announcement as husband and wife after exchanging rings. Cheers of congratulations from their closest family and friends filled the church atmosphere. It echoed joy. Leaving from the church, the sun was glowing, a slight breeze kept things cool, and the eagerness to get to the reception at the Edison grew.

Upon arrival, the space was filled with dreamy blooms by Flori Florals. Each table, delicately set, allowed the architecture of the building have a moment for itself. The exposed brick and towering windows gave everything such a romantic feel. It truly set the stage for the special dances and toasts that eventually brought everyone to the dance floor.

The night was filled with fun and I think it’s safe to say Lauren and Chris had the time of their lives. The only thing missing, Bennett and Reese, the cutest fur babies in the world, but I have no doubts they got to celebrate when mom and dad came home as husband and wife!
