Palm House Wedding Celebrations at Franklin Park Conservatory

Maddie + Pat

Franklin Park Conservatory is known for its bright architecture, venetian details, and romantic gardens, and those are also all things that fit the vision for Maddie and Pat’s September nuptials. To showcase the day, the invitation suite by Minted included a welcome letter to their guests that included hand drawn Columbus locations, done by the bride’s dad. The two waited a long time to be together with their closest friends and family so they wanted to make sure it was perfect.

Guests arrived glowing with smiles, the sun was out, and the skies were blue perfectly matching the fresh color palette that was displayed across the outdoor reception space. Pottery made by the groom’s dad held arrangements of bright greens, ivory blooms, and blue accents from The Flowerman and were placed on each table surrounded by a textured table number and simplistic votives. The space kept the environment organic and refreshing.

As the day progressed Maddie and Pat prepped for their first look. First by getting into their classic attire. Maddie wore a fitted lace Watters gown from Bridal and Formal. It created a stunning statement once paired with her cathedral veil. Pat chose to wear a crisp black suit from The Black Tux complete with a bow tie and delicate boutonniere. When the first look happened, the two were blown away by each other’s looks and couldn’t help but to just embrace each other right away.

The first look did not deter from the anticipation and excitement the two had to marry one another. After sharing their first kiss as husband and wife in front of the Palm House, they danced and cheered down the aisle holding hands as guests threw petals in the air in celebration.

Quickly the sun started to set and that’s when the candles and strung lights began to provide the perfect amount of ambiance. Not to mention uplighting on the dancefloor that Buckeye Entertainment made sure was never empty. But before partying the night away, the couple had one last thing to do, cut the cake. The textured buttercream cake by Short North Piece of Cake had accents of gold leaf, reflecting like the golden lights hanging above the space.

The night was one to remember with many joyful emotions that were shared amongst everyone throughout the day.
