Kari and Collin's Wedding at the Athletic Club of Columbus

Kari and Collin’s wedding day was filled with elegant details, meaningful moments, and an infectious level of joy. The images of their day started and ended at the stunning Athletic Club of Columbus but their story began over a decade ago during high school, meaning this day was high anticipated by many.

The Athletic Club and Goodfellows

Kari prepared for her big day in a guest room at The Athletic Club of Columbus, surrounded by her bridesmaids and mother. She looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder gown from Lace Bridal Couture, with a dramatic slit revealing her white Louboutin heels. Her mother shared a sweet moment helping her into the gown. Meanwhile, Collin and his groomsmen enjoyed some bourbon and a shave at Goodfellow’s Tonsorial Parlor, a space full of character and perfect for photos. They suited up in classic black tuxedos, complete with black bow ties, ready to make the day unforgettable.

The bride’s first looks with her groom and father

Before the ceremony, Kari descended to the ceremony space with her bridesmaids ensuring her dress and veil were perfectly arranged. Collin waited in front of the ornate fireplace adorned with white florals and greenery, designed by Madison House, eagerly anticipating their first look. In the ornate room filled with chandeliers, their emotional first look was an intimate moment full of joy and anticipation for the ceremony.

Moments before walking down the aisle

The bridal party then posed for portraits in front of the floral-covered fireplace, with the crystal chandeliers providing a stunning backdrop. Kari’s bridesmaids wore classic black dresses and carried an all-white bouquet that complemented the timeless elegance of the day. After the formal portraits, the couple and their bridal party walked to the Ohio Statehouse for additional photos, utilizing the grand steps and columns of the historic site.

Collin’s Godfather, Brian, officiated, adding a personal and meaningful touch. Beneath the grand chandeliers, surrounded by their loved ones, Kari and Collin exchanged vows while beaming and wiping away tears.

A timeless reception and unforgettable party

The reception space at The Athletic Club exudes elegance, with florals and candles adorning every table by Madison House. Each table featured coordinating photos of Kari and Collin at the corresponding age of the table number, a charming and sentimental touch. Guests found black and gold envelopes at their seats, reading, “We hope you get as lucky as we did!”—inside was a lottery ticket, adding a fun and personal touch. Additionally, one of the signature drinks, “The Rye,” was a nod to their beloved pet bunny, Rye, a whimsical element that guests loved.

Following heartfelt speeches and emotional first dances, DJ Brian Daze from Josh Staley Productions kept the dance floor packed throughout the night. Guests celebrated, danced, and indulged in sweet treats, including a cake from Chocolate Cafe and cookies from Lion Cub’s Cookies.

After being together over a decade, you know these high school sweethearts are going to take the energy from their wedding day and carry it into every season of life.
